Cleveland Street Gap

via Courtney Egan
This film was a long-distance collaboration with Helen [Hill], since she and her husband were living in South Carolina, still deciding whether to return to New Orleans.

The Muffs and Mika Miko

Oh Nina - An early 90's band I've never heard of. Now, I want all of their albums.

I Got a Lot (New New New) - I have this album on repeat on my iPod.

Movies I've Seen This Year (or remember due to my inconstant memory span)

Slumdog Millionaire

Itty Bitty Titty Committee - Not as sharp with the gay social satire as But I'm a Cheerleader, at least it has a kickass riot grrrl soundtrack. That good right?

Wendy and Lucy

The Midnight Meat Train - Best Clive Barker film adapt since Candyman 2: Day of the Flesh.

Spring Breakdown - If you want to see Pohler, Posey, and Dratch getting wasted, then this is your movie.

Lioness - Documentary about the first female strike force team in Iraq. And first documentary featuring women serving in Iraq too??

Last Tango in Paris - A part of me died a little while watching this. The innocent part, where the flowers and rainbows are.

The Hottie and the Nottie - This would've been hilarious twenty years ago.

Rachel Getting Married

Superman Returns

The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly

The Princess Bride

The Wrestler

American Teen - Makes The Hills look like Ken Burns' The War. Yeah, I totally dropped a PBS reference.

Billy the Kid - If you hated the film above watch this instead.
